Leeds United duo deliver two shocked supporters good news on their season tickets

Leeds United have released an amusing video of Patrick Bamford and Luke Ayling phoning supporters about season tickets. The Whites have around 20,000 people on the waiting list but two lucky fans were given some good news this afternoon by two big members of the squad.

First, Bamford called up a fan named Charlotte to inform her she would be receiving a season ticket for the 2022/23 season. At first, she did not believe it was Leeds’ star striker on the end of the phone but after around a minute of back and forth, she took the good news with an element of shock.

Bamford also facetimed the supporter to make sure she knew that it was him, before he said hello to her daughter. Leeds’ vice-captain Ayling, who after a number of unanswered calls, then delivered the news on his season ticket to a supporter called Craig.

Initially Craig questioned whether it was a prank call but after a swift facetime call from Ayling, he was delighted to find out it was real. Supporters who have been successful on the waiting list will now receive a call from the ticket office in the coming days to iron out the remaining details.

Leeds have been no strangers in giving back to the community and fan base in recent years and this is yet another gesture from the club to show their gratitude. Tyler Roberts was recognised for his efforts in May with the club’s PFA Community Champion award for the second successive season, while the likes of Kalvin Phillips, Raphinha, Joe Gelhardt, Sean McGurk and Charlie Cresswell – among others – have also shown their class in the last few months.
