Leeds United's bid to have a fully fit first-team squad available at some point this season has been handed a boost courtesy of a new video from behind-the-scenes at Thorp Arch.
Striker Sam Greenwood has captured U23s captain and first-team centre-half Charlie Cresswell on camera as the pair undergo rehab sessions in their bid to make a return from injuries sustained over the past couple of weeks.
Cresswell has been absent for several weeks following a shoulder injury picked up when a teammate fell on him in training earlier this season.
The 19-year-old made his Premier League debut for Leeds United in the 2-1 defeat to West Ham United back in September and has featured occasionally off the bench for the first-team.
Greenwood on the other hand has recently undergone surgery on a knee problem, sustained in the 2-0 FA Cup Third Round defeat to the Hammers at the beginning of this month.
Both appear to have been in the gym at Leeds United's Thorp Arch training facility on Monday morning, working with the strength and conditioning coaches as they bid to make swift comebacks.
Greenwood's video - shared on social media platform Instagram - shows Leeds defender Cresswell undergoing a mobility exercise to determine whether he is still experiencing an impingement when moving the injured shoulder in question.
In the video, Cresswell demonstrates a full range of motion, which suggests his comeback from injury remains on track.
Earlier this month, Marcelo Bielsa stated he and Jamie Shackleton should be available for selection following the international break at the end of January.
Provided there are no setbacks to Cresswell's recovery, he could be back in action next month, most likely for the U23 side due to Marcelo Bielsa's available senior options at centre-back.
The teenager was spotted supporting his teammates at Leeds U23s' most recent home game - a 2-0 win over Derby County last week.
