Leeds United continue intense training despite Premier League postponements reveals Adam Forshaw

Leeds United midfielder Adam Forshaw has revealed the Whites are continuing to train hard despite their recent Premier League postponements.

The Whites are set to go nearly a month without a domestic game following the postponement of their fixtures against Nottingham Forest and Manchester United.

The former was scheduled to take place last weekend but was put on hold following the death of Queen Elizabeth II. While games are recommencing this weekend, policing issues meant Leeds clash with Manchester United also had to be postponed.

This means the last time Leeds played a meaningful fixture was at the start of September against Brentford, which saw Jesse Marsch's side lose 5-2.

Their next game as a result of the two postponed fixtures will take place on October 2, nearly a month after their game against the Bees.

And speaking to BBC Radio 5Live's Football Daily, Forshaw revealed that if anything, Leeds are actually training harder due to their lack of games.

"I don't know the ins and outs of the policing and things like that this weekend but it's obviously a really big fixture for both sets of fans," said Forshaw.

"It's just one that's going to have to sit on the back burner and be rescheduled. I was talking to somebody today and he was like 'oh, so you're getting a bit of time off?' and I said no, if anything, now managers sort of see it as a chance to train you really hard.

"Training's just as tough. We play some in-house games, play against each other 11 v 11, so it pretty much stays the same in that aspect."
