Tyler Adams makes his Leeds United debut against Aston Villa, while Liam Cooper is still missing in the squad confirmed by Jesse Marsch on Sunday morning. Leo Hjelde returns to the squad after missing out against Brisbane Roar with a niggle, while academy goalkeeper Harry Christy makes way for Illan Meslier’s expected return.
In all, there are five changes to the side which started against Brisbane. Meslier, Patrick Bamford, Adams, Diego Llorente and Leif Davis coming in for Kristoffer Klaesson, Pascal Struijk, Adam Forshaw, Rodrigo and Joe Gelhardt.
In what looks like another 4-2-3-1, Llorente should line up on the left of Robin Koch, while Jack Harrison should be restored to the left wing with Davis back into the side at left-back for another audition. Adams and Marc Roca will try out a double-pivot some expect to see starting the season for the Whites.
