Former West Ham United boss Sam Allardyce has made a claim about the Hammers following talk of his future at Leeds United.
Allardyce, who managed West Ham for four years between 2011 and 2015, returned to Premier League management earlier this month for Leeds’ final four matches of the season in the hopes of a last-gasp turnaround at Elland Road in their quest to seal Premier League survival.
So far, Allardyce’s plan has not gone as well as hoped, having picked up just one point from three matches, heading into the final weekend of the season needing to beat Tottenham Hotspur, while hoping that Bournemouth win away at Everton and Leicester City fail to beat the Hammers on the final day.

Allardyce was bought to Leeds, initially on a short-term basis but after losing 3-1 to the Hammers, his chances of keeping the Whites in the Premier League seem unlikely.
Asked about what happens next with his future after losing at the London Stadium, Allardyce said those discussions were private, but mentioned the job he did at West Ham after guiding them back to the Premier League as an example of why Leeds turned to him in their hour of need.
“I’ll tell you if I'm here or not. I won't tell you now. It’s private,” said Allardyce, speaking after the 3-1 defeat against West Ham. “It didn't take me long to work it out, when you have 1155 games.
“I sorted this club [West Ham] out when I came, I’ve sorted a few other clubs out. The experience is all there to know what is wrong and what is right and what you have to put right.
“So if at the end of the season whatever discussion we have, we'll have that discussion.”
