Leeds United and Jesse Marsch already have the answer to growing pressure as Fulham arrive

Leeds United will need to draw on their strong home record when they host Fulham at Elland Road on Sunday. The Whites are currently in the midst of a major slump in results in the Premier League but have looked solid on home soil this season, and in the main, under Jesse Marsch.

Leeds have picked up eight of their nine points so far in the 2022/23 campaign at home, winning twice, drawing twice and losing once in five matches. Their only loss came last weekend at home to table-topping Arsenal, a game in which Leeds created a number of chances that should've earned them at least a point.

Overall, Marsch has taken charge of 11 matches at Elland Road since his appointment back in March. In that timeframe, Leeds have lost four times, though only one of those came against a non 'big six' side, which was the 3-0 defeat to Aston Villa in his first home game at the club.

Leeds can take confidence from the fact none of Southampton, Brighton, Wolves, Everton or Aston Villa (this season) have come to Elland Road under Marsch and won heading into the game against Fulham. That said, however, four of those matches did end in draws and Leeds must start converting some of those into victories.

Like Leeds, Fulham have also picked up the majority of their points up this season at home. Of their 15 accumulated so far, only four of those have come on their travels and under Marco Silva, they are not the type of side likely to come and sit back for a point.

That could certainly play into Leeds' hands in the meeting on Sunday, and Marsch must play on any sort of advantage the Whites can take in order to secure the three points.
