Leeds United 2023/24 Championship promotion odds as Whites tipped to bounce back

Leeds United are considered second favourites to win the Championship title next season, following their relegation from the Premier League. The Whites still haven’t appointed a head coach and they are braced for a number of key players to leave the club this summer in a bid to pursue other opportunities.

However, despite all the uncertainty, it seems the bookies still fancy Leeds to push for promotion next season. Leicester City are the favourites to top the table next season, with bet365 offering odds of 5/1 for the Foxes to bounce back to the top flight by winning the Championship.

Leeds aren’t far behind them in the betting, though, with odds of 15/2 being made available for them to top the table, four seasons after they last achieved the feat under Marcelo Bielsa. United are as short as 2/1 to be promoted back to the top flight and they’re odds on at 4/6 to finish inside the top six.

Those odds may lengthen or shorten depending on what happens over the summer, between now and the start of the Championship season, which is scheduled for the first weekend of August. Southampton are narrowly behind Leeds when it comes to winning the Championship outright.

The Saints were comfortably the worst team in the Premier League last season, according to the table, but with Russell Martin expected to take the reins at St Mary’s, they’re at 8/1.

Middlesbrough are 10/1 to finish in first place, while West Brom, Stoke City, Watford and Norwich City are all slightly further back at 16s.

After such a disappointing campaign at Elland Road, it’s fair to say Leeds will be doing all they can under new ownership to win their place in the top flight back.
