Leeds Storm Dudley hour-by-hour weather forecast as 'danger to life' warning in force

Storm Dudley is hitting Leeds hard today as strong winds rage across the city.

There are yellow weather warnings in place for wind for the next three days in Leeds due to the strength of the gales.

Some parts of the country have been issued with amber warnings by the Met Office today.

The Met Office have warned the wind could cause "injuries and danger to life" as well as affecting transport services, damage trees and buildings and could cause power cuts.

If you're heading out in Leeds today, expect to face strong winds.

Here's an hour-by-hour forecast in Leeds while Storm Dudley rages.

Leeds has already been seeing gales of past 45mph all morning, though the yellow warning for wind from the Met Office begins from 3pm.

Temperatures are remaining mild, around 12 degrees, and cloudy for the rest of the morning.

From around midday, black clouds are set to descend, bringing with them heavy rain.

According to the Met Office, this will last throughout the afternoon and the evening, though the rain may be slightly lighter from 6pm onwards.

Wind gusts will dip below 40mph in the early afternoon, before increasing back up to 45mph from 3pm, and reach nearly 50mph at 8pm.

The strong winds will continue throughout Wednesday night and Thursday morning, with the yellow warning for wind expiring at 6am.

Winds will still remain fairly strong though, hovering just below 40mph until 2pm on Thursday before calming down.

Tomorrow, however, is set to see less rain, with some sun even breaking through the clouds in the afternoon.

Temperatures will be slightly colder than Wednesday, hitting a maximum of around seven degrees at midday.

However, Storm Eunice is set to descend on Friday from midnight until 9pm, bringing another yellow warning for wind.

The Met Office is currently predicting there will be rain from around 3am in the morning until 3pm.

Winds will increase over 40mph from around 9am and reach 50mph by 3pm.
