A Leeds shopper expressed his disbelief at finding a Christmas turkey for £126.30 in Morrisons.
Artur Pi posted a photo of the pricy bird he found in the Hunslet supermarket with the words 'cost of living' and three laughter emojis. The turkey in question is an organic bronze turkey from the Yorkshire supermarket chain's 'The Best' range.
And the turkey, weighing a substantial 6.3kg, isn't the priciest shoppers have found on Morrisons shelves. One shopper found a festive fowl from the same premium range priced at £147.50 although it weighed a whopping 7.4kg.

According to the label, the deceased bird was "free to forage in open pastures" and was "naturally slower growing for a fuller flavour and succulent texture". Morrisons have been keen to point out that significantly cheaper options are available.
A spokesperson for the retailer said: "This turkey is the most premium organic product available in our offering and the price of £20 a kilo is in line with the market price. A similar sized turkey, Morrisons British large whole turkey, is available to buy for £4.99 per kg, costing around £31.44."
Some shoppers have however quipped it costs less to fly to Turkey than buy one of its top-of-the-range namesakes. And some have told the retailer to get stuffed.
Shopper Richard O'Brien (not the Rocky Horror Show guy) posted a photo of a £140 Morrisons turkey and joked: "Just picked the turkey up from Morrisons. What cost of living crisis? Worth every penny."
Andrew Sweeny spat: "'Wow' is all I can say... Do they come with Gordon Ramsay? Hope it rots on the shelf."
And Mavis Smitheman, who works with homeless people, said: "Daughter took this photo of a turkey in Morrisons this morning. £147! Who could ever afford this?"
