Leeds Rhinos' Twitter account suddenly disappears leaving supporters confused

Leeds Rhinos' Twitter account has vanished. Supporters spotted on Tuesday afternoon that the account, one of the most followed in rugby league, had suddenly disappeared off the social media platform.

It appears the account dropped off the site at around 1 PM on Tuesday, leaving many fans out of the loop awaiting updates from the club, with Twitter one of the most used platforms among supporters. Thankfully, the club's website, Facebook page and Instagram are still working fine. Some fans may have missed confirmation from the club that former Great Britain international Tony Smith had joined the club as Academy head coach, a story first revealed by Leeds Live.

A Rhinos official has confirmed that a technical glitch has caused the issue and a resolution is currently being chased, that the outage has come at a less than ideal time for the Rhinos given the staffing changes currently taking place within the walls of the site. Elon Musk's takeover has been followed by a reported 50 per cent cut to the staffing workforce, leaving them less resourced than they were just a short few weeks ago.
