Leeds Rhinos have been dealt an injury blow after back-rower James McDonnell was ruled out of their clash with Wigan Warriors. The forward has picked up an arm injury that will see him miss the return to his former club, from whom he was signed by the Headingley club.
McDonnell sustained the injury in the defeat to Salford Red Devils but coach Rohan Smith does have ample cover, with the likes of James Bentley, Rhyse Martin, Morgan Gannon and James Donaldson to call upon in his absence.
He is one of two players ruled out after injuries last week. Jack Sinfield suffered a concussion and will also miss the game. However, Derrell Olpherts has recovered from a calf injury to feature in the 21-man squad and there's also a recall for Luis Roberts, who featured for Bradford Bulls last week.

Sinfield's absence does provide a selection headache in the halves, with Aidan Sezer still absent due to a quad injury. Richie Myler appears an obvious candidate in a move that would see Ash Handley go to fullback.
Leeds Rhinos squad: Richie Myler, Harry Newman, Nene Macdonald, Ash Handley, Blake Austin, Mikolaj Oledzki, Zane Tetevano, James Bentley, Rhyse Martin, Cameron Smith, Jarrod O'Connor, Sam Lisone, Derrell Olpherts, Justin Sangare, Tom Holroyd, Morgan Gannon, Sam Walters, Liam Tindall, Luis Roberts, James Donaldson, Corey Johnson.
