Sam Walters has been left out of Leeds Rhinos' side again after being named in their reserve grade team. The towering prop, who has impressed when featured this season, will feature for the club's reserves in the curtain raiser for Friday's Super League clash with Hull FC.
Walters was named in the 21-man squad ahead of the clash with FC, but ultimately will not feature after being selected in the pre-cursor, which kicks off at 5:30. Jack Sinfield, who also featured in the extended squad, has been chosen.
Walters has often been one of the players left out by Smith this season. He made a game-changing performance against St Helens in round three but has only made three further appearances. The likes of Sam Lisone and Justin Sangare have been preferred when available for selection.

Walters, who is off-contract at the end of the season, has proven to be a popular member of the squad among the fans, with many left perplexed by his absence from the side. On Monday, he featured for Bradford Bulls in their Easter victory over Halifax Panthers, creating a try and earning praise for his efforts. He will be free to negotiate terms with rival clubs from May 1st.
Meanwhile, Sinfield's inclusion means Smith has decisions to make on the remaining 19 members of his extended squad. All 17 players who featured in last week's victory over Huddersfield are in the squad, as well as James Donaldson and Liam Tindall.
