Leeds Rhinos have unveiled their home kit for the upcoming season, featuring a darker tone of blue from the usual designs. The Rhinos, last year's Grand Finalists, have opted for a predominantly navy blue kit, a move away from the traditional royal blue and amber design.
Sporting a white band across the body, the kit takes on quite a different look to recent years though is a nod towards some jerseys of the past, most notably the ones worn in 2007 and 2012 when the Rhinos won Grand Finals. Explaining the logic behind the move, a club statement said: "The move to a darker shade of blue follows trends in the manufacturing market and was popular with the club’s Supporters Board, who were shown example of kits with Royal, White and Navy based options. The new look kit was a unanimous decision however from their feedback."
It seems to have gone down well with the majority of fans too. On Twitter, Lord North said: "That’s the best for years. Well done." While Ben Winterburn added: "The club has a great history of producing really nice kits."

The Rhinos will be looking to go one step further in 2023, having fallen short at Old Trafford to St Helens last month. Under Rohan Smith, the Rhinos enjoyed a superb return to form that almost saw them lift their ninth Grand Final.
