A wanted man on the roof of a Leeds house is in a dramatic standoff with police with a huge cordon closing the street.
Officers from West Yorkshire Police were called to Woodsley Road, in the Hyde Park area of Leeds, today at around 8am, to apprehend a wanted man. The wanted man has been on the roof of a house for the last few hours.
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service and Yorkshire Ambulance Service are also in attendance. Woodsley Road has been closed in both directions for most of the day, with a number of cordons in place blocking all access to the street.

The man has been seen moving around on the roof of a terraced house but is refusing to come down. LeedsLive's reporter on the scene has heard the man making "violent threats" to bystanders, who have come out of their homes to see what is going on.
The man appears to have gained access to the roof from a skylight window. Another person can also be seen occasionally popping their head out of the window to chat with the man.
Photos from the scene show police officers at the door of the property, while other officers remain on the street and keep their eye on the man. At one point, he moved further up the roof towards the chimney but has since returned to sitting by the skylight window.
Members of the public have been asked by police to stay away from Woodsley Road and cars attempting to access the area are being turned away by police. Residents are being allowed to enter the cordon if they need to leave or access their homes.
Crime scene investigators have also arrived on the scene this afternoon. Police officers are guarding the cordons and police community support officers are patrolling the area and providing reassurance to residents.
