A Leeds mum has shared her "disgust" after receiving "dead and snapped" Mother's Day flowers.
Council worker Wendy Hopkinson, who lives in the LS10 area, received a box of flowers on Sunday, March 18, from her three children. She opened them on Mother's Day morning around 8am, but was left "upset" when she found the flowers were dead, she claims.
Wendy said her children ordered the 'Bouquet of Best Wishes' flowers from Marks and Spencer (M&S) on special delivery - a top five best seller for Mothering Sunday. But Wendy said the expected colourful bunch of flowers "look like they have been found in a skip".

The flowers cost Wendy's children £35. Wendy says she has complained to Marks and Spencer's who are investigating the incident and the team have sent her new flowers. Leeds Live have contacted the supermarket for a comment.
Speaking about how she felt when her Mother's Day flowers arrived, Wendy said: "They are absolutely disgusting. Just look at the state of them.
"They arrived in a big box from the flower shop. DPD delivered them. Every one of the flowers is dead and snapped." Wendy said she rang her children this morning to tell them about the condition of the gift they bought, and said they were "really upset".
Wendy said: "They came in a big box but the box wasn't squashed or anything, it was just the flowers inside. I think they were probably running out of Mother's Day flowers so just gave me the last of the bunch."
She added: "It isn't about the money. It is the principal. The fact that my kids have gone out of their way to get those flowers for me and they look like that. They don't look anything like the picture on the website."
Wendy said she is a regular shopper at M&S but now "doesn't know" if she will go back. "We've had flowers from Marks' before and they have been lovely. I always go in there to do my food shop too.
"I wouldn't go back in to get flowers now. I'd tell anyone stopping off at the shop at last minute for Mother's Day flowers - don't bother and go to Aldi instead."
Wendy told Leeds Live she hopes no one else has received dead flowers on Mother's Day. Leeds Live have contacted M&S for a comment.
