Man arrested at Anfield before Liverpool vs Leeds match banned for life
A man has received a lifetime match ban from Leeds United following an incident outside of Anfield stadium.
The Leeds United fan from Dundalk, Ireland, was arrested by Merseyside Police on suspicion of a public order offence, causing intentional harassment, alarm or distress. The 24-year-old had travelled to Anfield, for the Premier League match between Liverpool FC and Leeds United on Saturday, October 29.
A spokesperson for Leeds United said in a statement: "Leeds United FC takes the behaviour of fans very seriously whether they are in attendance at matches being played at home or away. As a result of our investigation we have banned the individual.

"He is banned from attending any Leeds United fixtures, home and away permanently. Leeds United does not condone this behaviour, it does not represent our club, and so persons who behave in such a way receive sanctions."

Liverpool nurse struck off by nursing council in private hearing
A Liverpool nurse has been struck off following a misconduct hearing.
A Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) fitness to practise committee deemed Rowena Morgan as no longer fit to be employed in the profession after a private hearing. A report made public confirmed Miss Morgan, who has been qualified for 30 years, would be struck off.
The report said Miss Morgan had initially been the subject of a 12-month suspension order for her conduct. The nature of this has not been disclosed.

Claire Sweeney's car pierced by railing in third accident this year
Claire Sweeney's car was pierced by a railing in a crash while she was working away on a cruise ship.
The former Brookside star took to social media tell her followers that she has had "no luck" with the car, that she has had for less than a year. Claire posted a picture of a bad crash outside her home, she also said thankfully nobody was hurt.
Claire said: "Thankfully nobody was hurt. Had no luck with my car... Three accidents and not had it a year! I wasn't even home for this one. Happened outside my house. Only a piece of railing through my car".
