Leeds United goalkeeper Illan Meslier extended his unbeaten run with France U21s to ten matches courtesy of a 1-0 victory over Germany.
Stade Rennes forward Amine Gouiri’s 52nd minute strike proved decisive as Meslier kept his seventh clean sheet in 11 caps for the U21s.
Meslier lost 2-1 on his U21 debut in the 2021 European Championship quarter-final against Netherlands in May 2021 but hasn’t tasted defeat since.
Les Blues have gone undefeated in their last 12 games (W10 D2) with Meslier featuring in 10 of those matches.
