New guidance has been issued by Leeds Bradford Airport after weeks of long queues.
Holidaymakers have been warned to arrive no earlier than three hours before their flight departure times.
Over the past few weeks huge queues have been spotted at the airport in Yeadon as they anticipate longer queue times for the security process.
Throughout the Jubilee Bank Holiday, there were reportedly scenes of "carnage" as people continue to arrive and face "mile" long queues.
However on Saturday afternoon (June 4) some passengers reclaimed the airport was deserted, with security taking just eight minutes to get through.
In an update to passengers today (Monday), an LBA spokesperson said: “If you're due to travel from Leeds Bradford Airport this week, our official guidance is to ARRIVE NO EARLIER THAN THREE HOURS BEFORE YOUR FLIGHT DEPARTURE TIME.
"You can help to speed up your passage through security by familiarising yourself with the process. Thank you.”
