West Yorkshire Police are still at the scene of a firearms incident near Leeds Bradford Airport today as they work to 'bring the incident to a safe conclusion'.
Police have issued an update after armed officers swooped on St Helena’s Caravan Park near the airport with bomb disposal officers also called in alongside ambulance and fire services.
The National Police Service plane circled the scene and the airport for hours during the stand off, which continues today.

A spokesperson for the force said emergency services are still at the scene to bring the incident to a safe conclusion.
They said: “A firearms operation is currently ongoing at St Helena’s Caravan Park, in Bramhope, Leeds.
“Emergency services at are the scene working to bring the incident to a safe conclusion.”
