Leeds is set to see more heavy downpours of rain on Monday after an unsettled weekend which saw the city rocked by thunderstorms.
A bright start offers the chance of some respite for the city after heavy storms on Saturday and Sunday. However, the good start is not forecast to last with some heavy spells of rain predicted on Monday afternoon.
A long spell of wet weather is expected to last between 2pm and 9pm and features some heavy downpours at times. The week ahead is set to follow a similar pattern with sunny spells interrupted by more heavy bursts of rain and the threat of more thunderstorms on the horizon.

The Met Office forecast for Monday says: "A bright start, but showers developing quickly during the morning, A longer spell of rain with some heavy bursts moves through during the afternoon, mostly clearing by the evening. Maximum temperature 22 °C."
The outlook for Tuesday to Thursday says: "A mixture of sunshine and showers or longer spells of rain likely, perhaps turning heavy and thundery at times, particularly on Tuesday. Temperatures cooling somewhat to near average."
Monday
A bright start with sunny spells expected to last until around 8am when cloud cover arrives. Starting temperatures of around 14C or 15C which rise quickly to 20C at around noon.
The sunny intervals will last until 1pm when clouds take hold and the rain begins. Light showers and light spells of rain will fill the majority of the afternoon until 5pm

Temperatures hit a high of 21C at 1pm before falling away to 18C in the later afternoon and 17C at sunset. Heavy rain expected to hit at around 5pm becoming heavy showers from 6pm until 9pm.
Partly cloudy into the night with temperatures reaining around 17C throughout. Medium pollen count expected, medium UV and low pollution.
