Lee Johnson admits it is time for Jair Tavares and Runar Hauge to move on from Hibs.
The Easter Road pair are not part of the squad out at a warm-weather training camp in Marbella as preparations for the new Scottish Premiership campaign and crack at the Europa Conference League qualifiers kick into overdrive.
The capital boss has been working hard in the transfer market to date to strengthen his pack as he looks to better the Hibees' finish from last season. The Daily Record write that the capital club still want to get Will Fish back in the door from Manchester United but talk over Lewis Fiorini moving to Leith is a no go as Manchester City are not willing to use one of their allotted international loans on the youngster states the same report.

But Tavares - who joined from Benfica B last year in a six-figure deal - now looks to be on his way out as does Hauge, who joined back in early 2022. The Hibs boss also delivered an update on Joe Newell, who has been bothered by a hamstring issue.
Speaking at Hibs’ Marbella base, Johnson said: “I think it’s time for Jair to move on potentially on loan or a permanent. That will shake up the squad a bit. He’s not quite infiltrated the team as much as I’d have liked and got the minutes.
“Same with Runar. We’re currently trying to help him as best we can to seek pastures new.”
On midfielder Newell, he added: “Joe has had a neural hamstring injury for the last 10 days and he wants to keep getting through it and he has but we said if there was any sign, come off.
“I’d say it’s precautionary but at the same time we’ll need to scan it and we’ll try and get that done out here if we can to determine what needs doing.”
