Derby County manager Wayne Rooney is adamant none of his players will be sold on deadline day amid Celtic's interest in Lee Buchanan.
The Rams left-back has been a target of Ange Postecoglou's since the summer, however he opted to move for Liam Scales in August.
With Greg Taylor battling with him for the starting spot and Josip Juranovic also an option in a pinch, it's not an area where the title hopefuls are short.
Even outcast Boli Bolingoli remains on the books and he could leave before midnight on Monday.
But if the club do spring a surprise and land a new defender for the position, it's unlikely to be Buchanan at this time after battling boss Rooney told worried fans there will be no sales despite the club's financial situation.
Derby are on the brink and on an emotional day fans rallied outside Pride Park urging for help to stop the Football League founding member from falling into liquidation.
An epic match then unfolded as goals in the 87th and 96th minutes saw them rally to a 2-2 draw with Birmingham City.
And Rooney said afterwards: "No players will be leaving. 100 per cent.
"I can guarantee that will be the case."
Buchanan is out of contract in the summer but Derby have an option for a further year - though they've been unable to activate it given their financial state.
