LeBron James has been dropping buckets while preparing for ‘Revenge Season’

LeBron James looks mighty comfortable scoring baskets against his fellow NBA counterparts during a weekend pickup game. He is preparing for what he’s calling “Revenge Season” after missing the playoffs for the first time in 13 seasons.

LeBron shared some footage on his Instagram of highlights of himself in pickup games featuring the likes of Los Angeles Lakers teammates Anthony Davis and Alex Caruso as well as San Antonio’s Dejounte Murray.

James scored in plenty of ways, attacking the basket and also draining shots with range.

Kyle Kuzma passed along the message that LeBron has been training with a “super motivated” mindset all offseason long.

The Lakers definitely need a motivated LeBron if they are going to rebound from last season’s disappointments and fend off deep, talented teams in the Western Conference to secure a playoff spot.

Even though the general consensus on the Lakers is that they are a playoff team, history tells us that teams with high expectations sometimes struggle to meet them. The Lakers desperately hope it’s no longer their turn to be the ones who play that role.
