Lebron James' Son Bryce Shows NBA Potential At 16

LeBron James and his family are celebrating after his son, Bronny James, was selected by the Los Angeles Lakers in the 2024 NBA Draft. The 19-year-old guard will now have the opportunity to play alongside his father in the NBA. Meanwhile, Bronny's younger brother, 16-year-old Bryce James, is also eyeing a future in professional basketball.

Bryce, who will be eligible for the NBA Draft in 2026, expressed skepticism about his father's longevity in the league. During an Instagram Live session, he mentioned that LeBron James would be 42 by the time he is eligible for the draft, casting doubt on his father's continued presence in the NBA.

Despite being in high school, Bryce has already shown promise as a basketball player. Standing at 6-foot-4, he has impressed with his skills on the court, scoring 21 points in a Nike Elite Youth Basketball League game.

LeBron James, on the other hand, is facing a decision regarding his contract with the Lakers. Reports suggest that he may opt out of the final year of his deal, potentially becoming an unrestricted free agent. However, sources indicate that James is likely to remain with the Lakers and any contract negotiations may focus on the structure of his deal.

If James opts out, he could be looking to secure a no-trade clause in his new contract. While this would involve a financial sacrifice, James may see it as a worthwhile trade-off for added security in his future with the team.
