LeBron James’ son Bryce, 15, gets first scholarship offer to play college basketball

It’s a milestone moment for LeBron James’ family.

The Los Angeles Lakers star’s younger son, Bryce Maximus James, received a scholarship offer to play basketball at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh — his first from a NCAA Division I college.

“AYYYEEE!!!” LeBron James wrote in a celebratory Instagram post Monday. “LET’S GO MAXIMUS.”

Bryce, 15, is entering his sophomore year at Sierra Canyon School in Los Angeles. Duquesne head basketball coach Keith Dambrot is a former coach of LeBron James at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School in Akron, Ohio.

The 37-year-old James is a four-time NBA champion, winning two titles with the Miami Heat, one with the Cleveland Cavaliers and one with the Lakers. He is a four-time NBA Most Valuable Player and an 18-time All-Star in 19 career seasons.

James and his wife, Savannah, also have a 17-year-old son, Bronny, and a 7-year-old daughter, Zhuri.

Bronny James will be a senior at Sierra Canyon School this year. Oregon and Memphis are among the colleges recruiting him to play basketball, according to Sports Illustrated.
