LeBron James sends four-word message to Liverpool after reaching Champions League final

LeBron James is one of a number of Liverpool supporters excited about the Champions League final in Paris.

The Reds eventually overcame Villarreal 5-2 on aggregate in the semi-final, winning the second leg 3-2 on Tuesday night.

The La Liga side had briefly threatened to stage a memorable comeback, as they stormed into a 2-0 lead at half time against their shellshocked opponents. However, the introduction of the marvellous Luis Diaz at half time and a goalkeeping meltdown from Geronimo Rulli saw Liverpool fight back.

Fabinho, Diaz and Sadio Mane got on the scoresheet for the Premier League side, as they eventually breezed into their third Champions League final in five years.

James shared his delight at the result on social media, posting "Paris here we come" to his followers.

Los Angeles Lakers star is among the greatest to ever play basketball, having won four NBA Championships, four NBA MVP awards and four NBA MVP finals honours in his glittering career.

It's a number that he will no doubt be hoping resonates with Liverpool in the remaining weeks of the season, as the remarkable fight for four trophies in a campaign goes on.
