LeBron James Reacts to Son Bronny's USC Commitment

Bronny James finally made his college recruitment decision on Saturday, opting to stay close to home and join USC

After finally announcing his intention to become a Trojan in 2023 via an Instagram post, LeBron James took to his own Instagram account and shared a congratulatory message for his eldest son.

Bronny had interest from various top programs around the country, though it was reported his top options were OregonOhio State, and USC. His final decision generated a loud reaction from his father before LeBron took the court in Game 3 against the Warriors.

“FIGHT ON!!! So damn proud of you kid! I have no words besides I LOVE YOU [Bronny]!!! LET'S GO!!!!!!!!” wrote James, alongside multiple emojis and a hashtag that said, “Go Trojans.”

LeBron’s Instagram post also included a slideshow of Bronny in USC gear, as well as a photo of him standing in the Trojans locker room while donning his Sierra Canyon uniform.

Bronny was a highly rated recruit coming out of Sierra Canyon, being graded as a four-star prospect by most recruiting databases. On3 had him as a five-star and a top-10 prospect in their latest rankings.

He’ll join No. 1 recruit Isaiah Collier at USC, and ESPN’s No. 38 recruit Arrinten Page is also committed to play for the Trojans.

Earlier this season, LeBron boldly declared his son was on the same level of some players currently in the NBA. Following his commitment to USC, Bronny is one step closer to putting his dad’s theory to the test.
