LeBron James revealed on the “New Heights” podcast he finds a viral tweet mocking his longevity absolutely hilarious.
Back in May 2015, as James was leading his team to another NBA Finals run, POA (@urkle91) tweeted “LeBron is 30, this f***ery won’t go on for much longer, thank god.”
That tweet, of course, aged far more poorly than James, who’s made another four Finals trips, including winning two more titles and Finals MVP trophies.
Candid Reaction
When asked by Jason Kelce about the tweet, James did more than just acknowledge its existence.
“Yes, I saw that tweet throughout all of my 30s,” James said somewhat in jest. “And I loved at it every single time.
“You know what’s funny, when I turned 40, the same f***ing guy said LeBron turned 40, this f***ery won’t go on much longer.”
James jokingly teased he’s got plenty in the tank, saying @urkle91 is going to be really upset when he turns 50.
We had to ask @KingJames about one of the greatest tweets in NBA history

NBA Vs. NFL On Christmas Day
While there were a myriad of topics discussed, one topic that had to be discussed was James’ comments about Christmas belonging to the NBA after the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Golden State Warriors in a spectacular game where James and Stephen Curry went back and forth.
“I love the NFL, but Christmas is our day,” James said after the game.
The NFL held games on Christmas, including a performance from Beyonce, and the numbers proved quite the contrary.
While the NBA did well compared to its previous numbers, with an average of 5.25 million viewers, the NFL’s two Christmas games each averaged just over 24 million viewers.
James was well aware of those numbers and scaled back his forceful comments on the episode.
“I saw the f***ing numbers after the fact,” James said. “You guys kicked our a**, OK? From a viewership standpoint, y’all kicked our ass.”
