LeBron James is out Sunday versus Brooklyn Nets

When LeBron James pulled up lame late in Wednesday’s loss to the Los Angeles Clippers, it was feared he had suffered a significant groin injury similar to the one that kept him out for five weeks during the 2018-19 season.

But he was diagnosed with merely a strained left adductor and was listed as day-to-day, allowing the Los Angeles Lakers and their fans to breathe a sigh of relief.

James sat out Friday’s tilt with the Sacramento Kings, and he was listed as doubtful for Sunday’s game versus the Brooklyn Nets.

No big surprise here: He will also miss Sunday’s contest.

According to head coach Darvin Ham, James missing this game may allow him to return on Friday when L.A. takes on the Detroit Pistons.

The Purple and Gold will have four full days off after the game versus Brooklyn.
