LeBron James is going to break Kareem’s all-time scoring record. Here’s how to bet on it.

As we know, sports betting has evolved over the years. Wagering isn’t limited to only choosing a game’s winner and loser, but instead, props bets, same game parlays and first basket wagers now represent the numerous different ways someone could decide to invest in a particular sporting event.

With so many bets out there to make, it should come as no surprise that FanDuel Sportsbook has dedicated a section to betting on how and when LeBron James will surpass Kareem Abdul-Jabbar as the NBA’s all-time leading scorer.

James is currently 89 points away from reaching the mark.

So which game will James pass Kareem for the scoring title? Tuesday’s matchup against the Thunder (+200 odds) and next Thursday’s against Milwaukee (-120) are probably the safest bets to make. And if LeBron happens to pull it off against Milwaukee, wouldn’t it be perfect that he passes Kareem against his former team?

This leads to another bet that FanDuel is offering: the method of James’ record-breaking basket. A hook shot, in true Kareem fashion, would be iconic, but that’s not one of the likeliest methods, according to the sportsbook. Instead, a layup (+145), a 3-pointer (+375) or free throw (+450) are the better options for those interested in wagering.

Bettors can also try to guess in which quarter the bucket occurs and then group all their bets together into a parlay.

Nevertheless, there are a ton of opportunities out there for bettors if they find LeBron James’ record-breaking moment particularly worth betting on.
