Several months from now, the 2024 Summer Olympics will take place in Paris, and USA Basketball is looking to get back on its feet after failing to win a medal at last summer’s FIBA World Cup.
Right after that disappointing finish, a number of prominent veteran NBA stars, including the Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James, declared themselves willing and ready to represent the United States in the Paris Games. Some have called this group the “Avengers” for its desire to take their country back to the top of the heap in international competition.
On Tuesday, James headlined a large group of NBA stars who were named as finalists for Team USA.

Also on the list is Anthony Davis, James’ co-superstar on the Lakers, as well as rising third-year guard Austin Reaves.
Reaves was on the Team USA roster that finished a disappointing fourth in the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup.
