LeBron James considering retirement? Here’s everything we know so far

We know LeBron James isn’t going to play forever.

But we also have heard him talk about the future beyond next season, which doesn’t seem that surprising with the seemingly ageless Los Angeles Lakers star still playing at an incredibly high level for a player who turned 38 last December.

That last part about uncertainty about whether he’d be with the team in the fall: He’s under contract in 2023-24 with the Lakers for $46.6 million, with a player option for 2024-25.

He's repeatedly said he wants to play with his son Bronny in the NBA

We’ve heard this for years. And now that Bronny is getting closer to the league — he’s committed to USC — it could become a reality … if the elder James stays in the league.
