LeBron James and Draymond Green tipped to execute Kyrie Irving masterplan

LeBron James has been heavily rumoured to attempt to bring Kyrie Irving and Draymond Green to the Los Angeles Lakers this summer, however, as astonishing claim has suggested that the three could also look to link up at another team.

Irving was traded to the Dallas Mavericks this season, after wanting to be moved on from the Brooklyn Nets as he joined alongside Luka Doncic.

Since that move though, the Mavericks have largely struggled, with the team not having the significant players around the two superstars to contend and remarkably they have slid out of the play-off places.

That has led to suggestions that Irving could look to jump ship this off-season to join the Lakers, as has been rumoured for a number of years.

However, The Ringer's Bill Simmons has suggested that the Mavericks could be a spot for all four of Doncic, Irving, Green and even James to unite.

The Mavericks will have plenty of cap space available in this summer, and could sign both Green and Irving.

Speaking on his podcast, Simmons said: "I think he [Green] ends up in Dallas with Kyrie and with Luka, and then LeBron tries to figure out a way to get there eventually. Yeah, that’s my prediction.”

In order to attract James, though, the Mavericks would need to offer the Lakers a trade - likely a large amount of draft picks to pull a deal off.

Green has spoken fondly of James on a number of occasions after their fierce rivalry, with the former even mentioning the latter on his future.

On his contract, Green said that he will not discuss a new deal during the season, in the hope of shutting reporters down as he chooses to concentrate on the upcoming season with his team. Interestingly, he referenced how James has dealt with looming free agency, which he did at the Cleveland Cavaliers twice and the Miami Heat.

James is also a big fan of Green's game, and would love to play alongside the defensive stopper, as well as openly discussed his want to play with Irving.

The Lakers attempted to trade for the point guard this past month, but failed as he instead joined the Mavs.
