LeBron James and Anthony Davis named to NBA all-tournament team

The Los Angeles Lakers not only took home the first NBA Cup on Saturday, but they also looked very impressive in their seven in-season tournament games.

They won the final, 123-109, against the Indiana Pacers, a team that came in averaging 128.4 points a game and leading the league in several offensive categories. Los Angeles had a point differential of 74 points in four group stage games and won its three knockout contests by a total of 61 points.

LeBron James won the tourney MVP after some outstanding games, while Anthony Davis was dominant in the final game with 41 points on 16-of-24 shooting, 20 rebounds, five assists and four blocked shots.

Both were named to the NBA all-tournament team.

James had 30 points while shooting 9-of-12 and eight assists in 23 minutes in the Lakers’ semifinal win against the New Orleans Pelicans on Thursday. That came on the heels of a powerful 31-point, 11-assist, eight-rebound, five-steal performance in the quarterfinal round on Tuesday versus the Phoenix Suns.
