Lebanese Army Denies Reports Of Southern Border Withdrawal

Lebanese army soldiers secure a site that was hit by a strike, in Saraain

Lebanon’s army has refuted claims suggesting that it had withdrawn from southern border positions by several kilometers in response to Israel’s recent ground incursion into the country. The Army Command clarified that such reports were inaccurate and that the military units deployed in the south are merely repositioning certain forward observation points within their designated areas of responsibility.

The army emphasized that it continues to maintain coordination with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon despite these movements. The news agency, however, noted its inability to independently verify the Lebanese army’s specific actions along the border.
