Leather Maxi Skirts to Protect Your Legs Along With Your Impressive Seasonal Style Streak

There are certain wardrobe foundations that are temporarily retired once the weather gets unbelievably cold. Think T-shirts, tank tops and shorts, especially ones that contribute to the still popular no pants look. Some may even include skirts on this slightly depressing list. That may be true for any frilly and/or flimsy peasant-type creations or micro skirts. Have no fear, however. There is one form that's built for frigid conditions and happens to be super stylish. We're talking about leather maxi skirts.

Obviously, there are several skirt lengths available in leather. We're sticking with the maxi silhouettes because the more coverage we can get, frankly on any part of our bodies, the better. Of course, if temperatures really take a dive, it's totally acceptable to slip on wool tights or leggings underneath. Also appropriate if your skirt of choice has a slit that may occasionally expose parts of your legs to the cold. It's important to note that some brands are in the habit of calling long skirts midi no matter where they hit. So make sure to look at the product shots and descriptions to ensure your favorite will suit your height.

Black is the most common and popular color. But it's not the only option. Other standout shades include rich camels, midnight blues, cool grays, dark greens, off-whites and borderline burgundy hues. Some skirts have coordinating tops or jackets. While matching isn't a requirement, feel free to rock leather from head to toe as desired.
