Leandro Trossard to Arsenal transfer latest: Debut 'revealed', £21m fee agreed, personal terms

Leandro Trossard is closing in on a move to Arsenal from fellow Premier League side Brighton & Hove Albion.

Trossard has enjoyed a hugely productive season with the Seagulls, netting seven league goals and providing a further three assists. The 28-year-old is now into the final six months of his contract at the Amex Stadium and a recent falling out with manager Roberto De Zerbi has resulted in reported interest from the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.

The Gunners appears to be leading the race to sign the Belgian and now football.london takes a look at all the latest on a potential transfer.

Agent speaks out

Trossard's agent Josy Comhair has spoken about how a deal for his client transpired, claiming that he offered the player to Arsenal himself. “I personally offered Leo to Arsenal", Comhair told journalist Freddie Paxton.

"This is the most beautiful club for him and the football they’re playing suits him perfectly. The deal took 48 hours which shows how much Arsenal wanted him.”

Arsenal reach full agreement

Mikel Arteta looks set to welcome his first signing of the January transfer window in Leandro Trossard with the Gunners paying a £21million fee plus add-ons to Brighton, football.london understands.

Earlier today Arsenal opened talks with the Seagulls for his signature and Edu looks to have beaten off north London rivals Tottenham, who sent a £12million offer earlier this week, to agree a deal for the 28-year-old.

Arsenal open talks

Arsenal have opened talks with Brighton over a move for forward Leandro Trossard in the January transfer window, football.london understands. The Gunners have been heavily linked with a move for the winger as they eye an option on the flanks after missing out on Mykhailo Mudryk to Chelsea.

Price tag revealed

A report from talkSPORT suggests Brighton are prepared to grant the Belgian attacker his wish and let him leave in the January transfer window, but only if an interested club pays their asking price of £25millon.

Tottenham have bid rejected

Spurs are believed to have verbally offered £12million for the Belgium international – which was rejected out of hand, according to The Metro.
