Arsenal have agreed a fee of £21million plus add ons with Brighton for winger Leandro Trossard, football.london understands.
Trossard will arrive at the Emirates Stadium on a deal until 2027 with the option to extend by a further year. Mikel Arteta's side missed out on their primary target Mykhailo Mudryk earlier this month, with the young attacker joining Premier League rivals Chelsea last weekend.
The Gunners then turned their attention to Trossard, who has enjoyed a solid 2022/23 campaign, netting seven league goals and providing a further three assists. The north Londoners are also said to be pushing hard to ensure that the 28-year-old is available for Sunday's match against Manchester United, although they face a race against time as the deal would have to be completed by midday today (Friday) if the Belgian is to be named in the squad to face the Red Devils.

Now, Trossard's agent Josy Comhair has spoken about how a deal for his client transpired. “I personally offered Leo to Arsenal", Comhair told journalist Freddie Paxton.
"This is the most beautiful club for him and the football they’re playing suits him perfectly. The deal took 48 hours which shows how much Arsenal wanted him.”
The deal for Trossard will give Arsenal some much-needed depth upfront following injuries to star striker Gabriel Jesus and young winger Reiss Nelson. The Belgian international will be keen to make an instant impact in north London considering the Gunners' ongoing Premier League title pursuit.
Arteta's side currently find themselves five points ahead of second-placed Manchester City, who they are yet to play this season - although the Citizens have played one more league match this term.
The two title rivals will do battle at the Etihad Stadium next week in the fourth round of the FA Cup before Arsenal welcome Pep Guardiola and Co to the Emirates in the Premier League on February 15.
