The early prognosis on Leandro Trossard's injury is that it is not thought to be serious, football.london understands. The Belgian forward was forced off in the first half of Saturday's 3-2 Premier League win over Bournemouth with a groin problem.
"It is a worry," Mikel Arteta said of the injury in his post-match press conference. "He came to me and said 'I cannot continue, I felt something when I was tracking back after the corner'. We had to take him off and we have to assess him and see how he is."
Trossard is continuing to be assessed, but the early signs are that the injury isn't a bad one. The Belgian is unlikely to be back in time for Thursday's trip to Sporting Lisbon in the Europa League round of 16, however.

That leaves the Gunners with something of a problem up front. Eddie Nketiah was absent from the squad for the win over Bournemouth with an ankle problem that Arteta admitted could be serious. Arsenal will make a late decision in the coming days as to whether to take him to Lisbon or not.
Gabriel Jesus is also unlikely to be able to travel to Portugal as he continues to recover from a knee injury, although the club have not entirely ruled out the possibility. The Brazilian was spotted doing a cool down with Arsenal's unused subs after the Bournemouth game.
Arsenal do have Gabriel Martinelli capable of playing centre-forward. Arteta has also stated that Emile Smith Rowe can play in the position in the past, and the Hale Ender is likely to be available to face Sporting, with his substitution against Bournemouth understood to have been tactical rather than enforced.
