PSG midfielder Leandro Paredes has reportedly emerged as a target for Liverpool ahead of next week's transfer deadline.
Much has been made of the Reds need for reinforcements in the middle of the pitch in recent days after a poor start to the Premier League season, with many of the view that action has to be taken should Jurgen Klopp's side wish to challenge Manchester City in the months ahead.
Parades is simply the latest name to be linked to Liverpool, along with a whole host of other individuals, and could be looking for a fresh challenge this summer due to the competition for places at his current employers. The Argentine has been forced to settle for a place on the substitutes' bench in the opening three league games, deployed late on in each contest by manager Christophe Galtier.

Reports emerging from Italy have put the name of Parades in the frame for Liverpool.
Should the 28-year-old make the move to Anfield, one player who would likely make him feel at home is his former Roma teammate Mohamed Salah. Paredes spent the 2016/17 season playing alongside the Egyptian and has previously spoken of his admiration for the Reds' talisman.
“He’s a lovely guy, very laid back. He’s very quiet – he speaks less than me! As a player, we all know how important he is for us and we need to make the most of him,” he told AS Roma FC during their playing days in Serie A.
“He’s possibly the player I look to find more than any other, because he’s always looking to get in behind the defenders. It means I can play it to him first time. I pass to him a lot," continued Paredes. "I know the kind of movement he makes and he knows when I’m going to play it over the top and when I’m going to look to get it into his feet. That said, even if he starts running late he usually gets there – he’s so quick!”
Paredes also operated alongside Alisson Becker during his time with Roma, though the pair were only together for one season as the former completed a transfer to Zenit in 2017.
