Leaked Strictly spoiler update as fans fear 'catastrophic' elimination

Strictly Come Dancing fans have been forced to wait for the leaked results and it's left fans fearing a 'catastrophic' elimination.

Viewers were treated to a show full of theatrics for the special Halloween episode on Saturday night. However, some have been left anxiously waiting for the exit result, as per The Mirror.

Strictly and the result show is filmed on Saturday and while the main episode is broadcast live, the result show is aired on Sunday, allowing sneaky fans to sometimes leak who has been voted out.

Eager viewers who can't wait for the Result Show take to Twitter to find out who's the latest celeb to be eliminated but the main account who is known for leaking the spoiler seemed to be more quiet than usual, leaving fans to speculate that something 'catastrophic' happened.

One said: "I have a terrible feeling about this result… hope nothing catastrophic happened #StrictlySpoiler."

While another fan theorised: "Guys I’m telling you they made the audience members sign NDAs when has this ever happened #strictlyspoiler."

A third commented: "The only time its been this late is when they go to Blackpool. I have a feeling it's a shocker tonight #StrictlySpoiler."

David Thorp, the person behind the infamous Strictly spoiler, took to Twitter to announce the news to his 60,000 followers, who were eager to find out the result.

He wrote: "Sorry guys but I think that’s me done for night. I sleep light so I will keep checking overnight when I wake up but I think we may be depending on the source I used in lockdown which will be in the morning."

Fans were left disappointed, with many upset that they would have to watch Sunday's show to find out the result.

Taking to Twitter one viewer wrote: "So you are telling me I have to actually watch tomorrow’s show to find out who goes?"

Another said: "Please don't make me watch the results show. I need a #StrictlySpoiler."

A third added: "I reckon I've jinxed it. First time I've stayed up waiting this series. I usually check in the morning," as another said: "Have they confiscated the audiences phones or something?"

Meanwhile, Matt Goss, who was the third celebrity to be eliminated during Movie Week, joked: "#StrictlySpoiler I’m going back in!"

The successive leaked spoiler comes after the BBC considered filming their Sunday night show live to stop the leaks from happening.

Judge Anton also urged fans of Strictly not to spoil the results for others by leaking it online.

He said: “It gets on my nerves. Please stop. I don’t know who you are but please stop. Don’t do it. Why would you do it? Nobody knows who it is.

“The audience, like the people who go to [Agatha Christie murder mystery play] The Mousetrap, for example, which has been going for years, we’re all in it together.

“Knowledge is power and all that sort of stuff, everyone has an agreement we won’t say anything, so I don’t know who it is.”

Meanwhile, Thorp insists people ‘want to know’ the results of the live show – but told The Mirror he doesn't spoil it for people who don't want to know, only targeting those who are interested to find out.

David, who has been running his spoiler website since 2012, said: “I mean, as far as the people who are accessing it go through me, they are actively seeking it out. They want to know."

He added: “So I'm not spoiling it for people who don’t want to know and I do my very best not to – I try limit it to those who want to find out. People google the results and hit my website through searching.

“If there wasn’t a demand for the information to be out there, my site wouldn’t get as many hits as it does.”

Strictly Come Dancing returns on Sunday at 6.45pm on BBC One.
