Leaked England team hints at Southgate's decision on Trippier and Wilson ahead of Wales clash

Newcastle United duo Kieran Trippier and Callum Wilson could be forced to settle for spots on the bench for England's final World Cup group fixture against Wales. The leaked Three Lions starting eleven suggests Gareth Southgate is set to make at least two changes following the frustrating draw with the USA.

England sit top of Group B ahead of the final round of matches on Tuesday evening, and victory over their neighbours will secure top spot. Southgate's side will still qualify providing they avoid a four-goal defeat against their neighbours, who themselves need a victory and a draw between Iran and the USA to progress.

Trippier has started the first two fixtures for England on the right of a back four, with Newcastle team-mates Nick Pope and Wilson among the substitutes. However, the lineup for the clash with Wales according to Telegraph Sport suggests the 32-year-old's place might be at risk.

Kyle Walker is reportedly set to make his first start of the competition, but it is unclear whether the call-up for the Manchester City star will see a change to a back five. If Southgate perseveres with a back four, Walker's inclusion could mean Trippier drops out of the starting eleven.

This would likely mean the right-back joins Wilson on the bench, with Harry Kane reportedly set to lead the line once more. The England captain was an injury doubt for the draw with the USA, but the striker is not said to be keen on a rest.

Jordan Henderson is also expected to take the place of Jude Bellingham in the heart of midfield. Changes could be made on either side of Kane in attack, with Phil Foden, Jack Grealish and Marcus Rashford all in contention to start.
