Le'Veon Bell delivers brutal KO of Adrian Peterson - but NO winner is declared

Le'Veon Bell knocked out fellow NFL star Adrian Peterson at Social Gloves 2, but no winner was declared due to it being an exhibition fight.

Bell and Peterson were both making their boxing debuts at the Los Angeles event, which was headlined by a fight between YouTube stars AnEsonGib and Austin McBroom. The fight started with Bell, who appeared to have an issue with his mouthpiece, throwing nothing but jabs. Peterson landed the first knockdown of the fight in the second round when he sat Bell down with a jab.

In the third round, Bell landed his best punch of the fight by snapping back Peterson's head with a hard right hand. Bell's success continued on into the fourth stanza as he found a home for his right hand again, with the un-scored fight being evenly contested heading into the last round.

Bell landed a jab to the body of Peterson before dropping him with a huge right hand as Peterson attempted to counter. Peterson looked out of it whilst on the canvas and despite being able to get back to his feet, the referee waved off the fight. Sadly for Bell, he wasn't declared the winner despite the impressive knockout due to the clash being an exhibition.

"I had a great performance, I put in a lot of hard work," Bell said of his win. "All the hate that just motivates me, it was a badge of honour on my shoulder and I use it to be the best I can be. It's a lot different, in football it's team orientated, don't get me wrong I have my team in my corner but when I'm in the ring it's just me and my opponent whereas in football I've got 10 other guys helping me. I'm so proud of myself because I worked so hard to come this far.

What were your thoughts on Le'Veon Bell's knockout win against Adrian Peterson? Let us know in the comments section below

"I envisioned this happening and for it come true, I'm not surprised, but I'm just so happy. Boxing is one of the biggest challenges I've ever had to pick up. It's about how far you want to go, you have something inside you that says you need to keep going further and that's what boxing brings out of me, this is the perfect sport, I want to see how far I can go, I want to test my limits. I've put my hard work and passion into this and if I put my heart into this I know I can be the best at it."
