Law and District AAC stars brought the curtain down on their track and field season recently with strong showings at national and international level.
U17 Jade Gray received a well deserved selection by British Athletics to take part in the shot put at the School Games National Finals in Loughborough.
Jade’s dad, coach Colin Gray, also received selection to attend as throws coach for the event and Jade excelled in her discipline, achieving a bronze medal after a fine put of 13.31m.
Jade then went on to represent Scotland at the England Athletics Throws Festival in Northampton, winning bronze in shot put with another swift throw of 12.38m.
The final track and field event of the year, before the start of the cross country season, was held at Grangemouth where athletes from all over Scotland took part in the National Relays.
Law and District AAC had an impressive 21 teams entered over all events, with many fantastic medal wins as follows:
U17 women (A Team) – Gold in 4x100m (in a new club record time of 49.97s) for Codie McHolm, Tiana Greenshields, Bethany Lang, Jade Gray
U17 women (B Team) – Bronze in 4x100m for Ruth Hynd, Emma Gilchrist, Susannah Kay, Eva Burns
U15 Boys – Bronze in 4x100m for Jak Weir, Callum Hall, Lewis Carroll, Owen Murphy
Senior Women – Bronze in 4x100m for Cara Jay Murdoch, Leah Keisler, Rosie Watson, Sophie Evans
U15 Boys – Silver in 4x300m for Jak Weir, John Frood, Callum Hall, Owen Murphy
U17 Women – Bronze in 4x300m for Susannah Kay, Hannah Kulke, Hannah Todd, Eva Burns
Senior Women – Bronze in 4x400m for Cara Jay Murdoch, Sophie Evans, Rosie Watson, Leah Keisler
U13 Boys – Silver in 3x800m for Blair Beverley, Cameron Chambers, Jack Duffin.
