Lautaro Martinez isn't desperate to leave the San Siro this summer and is focused on performing for Inter Milan, according to his agent Alejandro Camano.
The Argentine has found the net 11 times in the Serie A this season but is yet to score in the Champions League. Nevertheless, at just 24 years of age, he has attracted plenty of interest from top European clubs and a summer move to the Premier League has been strongly mooted.
With age on his side, he fits into the transfer strategy (under-25) Arsenal deployed last summer. Our colleagues at the Mirror cited a report from Sport Witness that Arsenal are "ready to invest" in Martinez, but the Gunners will apparently be met with competition from Liverpool.
Meanwhile, as per Inter Live, Tottenham Hotspur chief Fabio Paratici is also keen on bringing the striker to north London.
However, a move may prove to be difficult as Martinez's agent has suggested that he's more than happy to remain in Italy.
Camano told FCInter190, via Teamtalk: "Lautaro doesn’t think about himself, he only thinks about Inter.
"He wants to help and wants fans to be happy. Inter haven’t scored many goals lately, but it’s just a process and will return to scoring, that’s for sure.
"Lautaro wants Inter to win – he is not interested in personal success. We must remain calm because Lautaro is happy at Inter and is happy with Inter fans."
Martinez is an athletic striker who's proven that he's more than capable of delivering the goods for a strong European outfit. A bidding war is likely, and if he does decide to leave Inter, whoever ends up signing him will undoubtedly be strengthening their squad.
