Laurence Fox reveals he has Covid and feels ‘shivery and crap’

Actor and anti-lockdown campaigner Laurence Fox has revealed that he has Covid.

The former candidate for Mayor of London, 43 , confirmed on Sunday that he had tested positive for the virus and felt “shivery and crap”.

The Lewis actor and “anti-woke” campaigner tweeted a picture of a positive lateral flow test with the caption: “In other news, felt shivery and crap yesterday.

“Turns out I have been visited by Lord Covid at last and have the Omnicold (if the LFT is to be believed!) the #Ivermectin, saline nasal rinse, quercetin, paracetamol and ibruprofen. More man flu than Wu-flu at the moment.”

Ivermectin is an anti-parisitic treatment commonly used in animals. It is occasionally used to treat parasitic worms in humans - but has not been proven as an effective remedy for Covid symptoms.

Fox News host Tucker Carlson and podcast host Joe Rogan have both promoted the drug as a Covid treatment.

Mr Fox’s tweet comes just four days after he was pictured wearing with a t-shirt with the words: “No vaccine needed, I have an immune system.”

Later on Sunday, he tweeted: “Not only do you only have to sign a form saying you feel well to get into Mexico, but you can also buy drugs like Ivermectin over the counter that the vaccinaholics don’t want you to get hold of here.

“I’m so happy to be joining the natural immunity club. Going to have a nap.”

Mr Fox has previously claimed he will not get the Covid jab until 2023 - the year he believes that the jab will have undergone sufficient safety checks.

He has also alleged that the UK’s Covid death toll is only higher as some doctors have added non-Covid deaths to the tally to support the “government’s fear-based narrative”.
