Laurence Fox has admitted that he's tested positive for Covid - mere days after proudly wearing an anti-vax t-shirt.
The actor and failed London Mayor hopeful, 43, shared a photo of himself in a white top with black writing which read: "No vaccine needed, I have an immune system".
At the time, he captioned the post: "I really like my new t.shirt."
His post has been ridiculed by some, with Gary Lineker's son George, 30, branding it "embarrassing".
Awkwardly, on Sunday, Laurence updated fans on his health as he shared a photo of a positive lateral flow test and confessed he "felt shivery and cr*p".
He tweeted: ""In other news, felt shivery and cr*p yesterday. Turns out I have been visited by Lord Covid at last and have the Omnicold (if the LFT is to be believed!).
"On the #Ivermectin, saline nasal rinse, quercetin, paracetamol and ibruprofen.
"More man flu than Wu-flu at the moment."
Unsurprisingly, the bad timing of his tweet didn't go unnoticed, with one quipping: "Well this aged well from all of 4 days ago."
Meanwhile others also questioned his use of ivermectin, which is a livestock de-worming medicine used to treat horses and something that experts have warned against use on humans.
The US Food and Drug Administration have urged people not to use the drug against Covid symptoms.
On their official website, it says regarding its use for Covid-19 : "The FDA has not authorized or approved ivermectin for use in preventing or treating COVID-19 in humans or animals. Ivermectin is approved for human use to treat infections caused by some parasitic worms and head lice and skin conditions like rosacea.
"Currently available data do not show ivermectin is effective against COVID-19. Clinical trials assessing ivermectin tablets for the prevention or treatment of COVID-19 in people are ongoing.
"Taking large doses of ivermectin is dangerous."
The actor went on to further explain his symptoms through a video update, saying: "I feel a bit man-fluey but that’s only to be expected because that’s only to be expected because men whinge more.
"But I’m going to fight this."
