Lauren Graham will "always say yes" to a 'Gilmore Girls' revival.
The 57-year-old actress originally starred as single mother Lorelai Gilmore from 2000 to 2007 on the classic comedy drama, and she would love to reunite with Alexis Bledel - who played her onscreen daughter Rory - for a sequel series.
Asked about the possibility on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon', she said: "I would, yes!
"I always say yes because it's the best part I ever had, and I love doing it.
"It was the perfect material at the perfect time with the perfect writer, and it just means so much to me."
The show returned for a brief four-episode revival in 2016 as Lauren, Alexis and Kelly Bishop (Emily Gilmore) all reprised their roles.
'Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life' was set almost a decade after the original show's finale, with each episode focused on a different season.
The programme is still remembered fondly by its fans, but Lauren admitted she's never quite sure how to react to people who grew up with the show.
She quipped: "I will say it can be strange at times because on the one hand, some people are starting to say, ‘You raised me,’ and I’m like, ‘I hope there were other adults involved.’
"And then on the other hand, people are like, ‘Oh, I just have the show on in the background. It puts my dog to sleep. We’re not even listening anymore. It’s just on like background music.' ”
The show's longevity has also been a surprise to series creator Amy Sherman-Palladino, who admitted she could never have planned for such success.
She previously told The Hollywood Reporter: "This business is about luck and alchemy.
"The stars have to align — you’ve got to get the right idea at the right time, and the right actors and the right moment at the right network or studio.
"Everything has to align for a show to even survive past the pilot. This was just a charmed, wonderful accident — the best kind of accident.”
