Former TOWIE star Lauren Goodger's face is reportedly 'unrecognisable' after an alleged 'attack', it's been claimed by a close friend.
The reality star, 35, is believed to have been taken to hospital with facial injuries after altercation at an address in Essex at around 12:37am on Thursday, July 4.
It's been reported the alleged attack took place hours after a private funeral was held for Lauren's baby daughter Lorena, who passed away shortly after being born last month.
A man, who denies the alleged attack, was arrested on suspicion of assault and was later bailed.
A spokesperson for the Metropolitan Police told the Mirror: "Police were called at 00:37hrs on Thursday, 4 August to reports of an altercation at a residential address in Upminster, Essex.
"Officers attended. At the scene a woman, aged 30s, was found with facial injuries."
"A man [...] was arrested on suspicion of assault.
"He was taken to an east London police station and subsequently bailed pending further enquiries."
Lauren was reported to have suffered a broken eye socket following the alleged attack.
Following the alleged incident Lauren's sister Nicola shared an adorable image of the star's daughter Larose as she praised her sibling's strength after a tough couple of weeks.
"This gorgeous little girl doesn't even know how lucky she is to have such a strong amazing mum. As long as you have each other you'll both be fine," she penned.
Lauryn Goodman, a close pal of Goodger, re-shared the post, admitting she breaks down in tears every time she sees Lauren's harrowing injuries.
Lauren's supportive pal claimed that the reality TV star looks 'unrecognisable' following the alleged attack.
"Couldn't have said this better myself. Seen a few things as well and I'd like to say there are NEVER 2 sides to a story when my friend's face looks how it does.
"She is unrecognisable. Brings me to tears every time I look at her.
"Please if anyone ever finds themselves in this situation never think staying quiet or hiding is best.
"Always confide and reach out to people. Better days will come and you aren't trapped. Promise. Be strong for your little ones."
Before the alleged incident, Lauren shared a heartbreaking message for Lorena on Tuesday, August 2.
Taking to her Instagram stories, Lauren penned an emotional statement for their daughter.
Her post read: "I carried you, felt you grow. Longed for the day we'd meet. Dreamed of your future. Not only did I know you, I fell in love with you."
Former TOWIE star Lauren announced last month that she and her partner Charles' newborn daughter passed away shortly after she was born, leaving the star completely devastated.
The Mirror has contacted representatives of Lauren for comment.
