The Only Way is Essex's Lauren Goodger said her daughter Lorena "looked like she was sleeping" and that she "thought she would wake up" as she spoke out on why she passed away just after her birth. The 35-year-old, who gave birth to her second daughter with partner Charles Drury, 24, on Friday, July 8, announced the devastating news of her baby's passing two days later, reports Wales Online.
In the heartbreaking statement, she said that although doctors tried to save Lorena, they were unable to do so and her daughter died minutes after being born. Reality TV star Lauren opened up about her ordeal with The Sun. She told the publication: “Lorena was a healthy baby and it was a textbook pregnancy. They think her oxygen may have been restricted because she had two knots in her cord but normally babies can still get enough oxygen despite this."

She said "this has been the most traumatic experience" of her life. Lauren also talked about how she will be having an autopsy to determine how Lorena died.
The reality star, who also shares daughter Larose with Charles, announced the news in a heart-wrenching Instagram post on Sunday, July 10.
Starting her post by confirming her daughter's name alongside an angel emoji and the date 8.07.22, Lauren wrote: "She was the most beautiful healthy baby I’ve ever seen just like her sister @babylarose.x.
"Words can't describe as a mother losing your baby that I carried for all these months perfectly and gave birth to for my angel to be taken from me.
"There was no pregnancy or labour complications and she was fine & healthy but I am not going into detail right now just know that there was nothing wrong with her or myself she was perfect.
"I can't understand it she is so so beautiful Larose twin so similar.. I am broken.
"I am back home from hospital Me & Charlie spent as much time with our baby girl Lorena and I haven’t said my goodbye yet."
Meanwhile, Lauren's partner and Lorena's father, Charles, also shared a statement in which he expressed his sadness. He wrote: "I promise you I'll look after your mummy & sister forever, just look over us all & keep me strong, show me signs that you’re up in heaven where you belong. I’m sorry it had to be this way but I know we’ll be together again some day.
"This isn’t something I thought I’d ever have to write but I’m so proud to be your daddy, I’ll see you soon baby girl but for now sleep tight."
